Long Sunday at the House.

My Sunday has been a little crappy, my spider bite is getting worse and I couldn't sleep at all last night because of the pain. so my beautiful wife and kids kinda babied me today and let me nap on and off and even brought me lunch in bad. I felt like crap all day but did finally get some sleep. So now I am wide awake at 1:00 in the morning.

We have had some rocking storms in Kansas the last three days...

Here is a pic from across the street from my Mom's house in Hutchinson:

Please don't ever take my extreme fascination with storms as a lack of respect for them. I am fascinated with sharks as well but only through the TV or real thick glass.

Incredible comment added on the Presidential Discussion here, Thanks Jolene for joining our little conversation there.

Karen is still the only one who has submitted usable images for the logo contest here. Karen's submissions are discussed here. I have decided the prize will be an ipod and your name on the dinosaur. Maybe that will get a few more of you excited about the idea.

I really don't know if I want to get into another wind discussion, but I am gonna throw this out.
I think this Hutch News article is exactly how wind should happen. Click Here and then come on back. Don't you think thats how it should be? Private companies providing private options for private citizens and companies. How can anyone possibly bitch about the way that is happening, no one forcing their way on anyone else, no government pushing anything down anyones throats, just free choice and capitalism. I truly believe thats the best way true change can be made. is off and running like I could have never imagined. We have had way more participation than I could have imagined. People of all ages have commented, posted community blogs and sent us emails asking how they could be involved. We are a little overwhelmed but we will have it figured out and continue to grow it. Check it out for yourself, comment, register and post a Community Blog and send us ideas. Our whole goal is to stay flexible so when you send us a great idea, we can just do it right then and there. Of course we get to decide if it's a great idea or not. Check out the site here.

The most important thing that should be at the top of all of our minds at this second is Memorial Day. It doesn't matter what you think of any war or President or our country or our military or politics . This day is about young men and women who went off and died so you could have those opinions. Hopefully you take some time during the rest of the year to remember those folks, but you sure as hell should take some time to be thankful for them today. I plead with everyone in this country... This is not a day to make a statement or protest. It is a day for memorializing, remembering and honoring. That's it.

  1. I agree with you 100 percent Cody, private business is the way to do it. There will be better innovation, better production, and it will be much more efficient than the Government deciding that everyone needs to have it, and that everyone will have it, regardless of cost.

I love the discussion in the comments.. so... GO FOR IT!
