Grand Cayman Island Adventure

Ok I will make this as quick as I can cause i don't know how many people are really interested in this kinda stuff.
Several months ago another couple who are great friends of ours invited us to spend a week with them on Grand Cayman Island in a timeshare condo they own.

We were very excited but also had the usual doubts.
1. Do we want to leave the kids for a full week?
2. Can we leave the business for a full week and not stress like crazy over what we should be doing?
3. Do we really want to spend the money right now?
4. We have so much to do around the house!! (I should be mowing right now instead of blogging.)

But they had asked us several times before and we decided it was as good a time to go as we might ever get.

Last Sat. we landed on Grand Cayman Island. Click here if you want details on The Cayman Islands, I don't want to spend a bunch of time with demographics and economy, but...
The people are incredibly friendly and there seems to literally be zero poverty.

Seriously you need to put this place on a list right now...

It's the most beautiful place I have ever been... Everything there is clean and gorgeous. The buildings, the beaches, the water, the trees, the wildlife... It really is the perfect image of an Island paradise that you have in your head.

If you go to Grand Cayman, which I am absolutely recommending...
You absolutely must go to the Turtle Farm (website) it is something like you will never see anywhere else in the world. You also have to go to Stingray City, again once in a lifetime kinda things.

Anything you do there on a boat... Call Captain Marvins (website ). I am not saying that anyone else on the Island would rip you off. But I can guarantee you will get your moneys worth we these guys. We went out with them 4 different times and everyone lived up to what we expected. The biggest part of that was out Captain. Captain Chester was a 25 year old boat Captain that knew exactly what he was doing and worked very hard to guarantee we had a good time. If you go call Captain Marvins and tell them you want Chester to be your Captain. He was awesome.

Chester is the best Boat Captain in the world!!!

Here's a link to a Picasa album of the trip

Here I am being a wanna-be Captain!

Here's a link to where I have uploaded some videos to you tube. I have a lot more videos so more will come in future.

One of the best trips I have ever been on, Thanks Pete and Amy for inviting us!

Glad to be back.....Kinda!!

p.s

1. We would love to get a good RCAT discussion started over here (click) on whatsuphutch.com. We think it is something in Hutch that is underutilized as well as underperforming. We want to know what you think. Have you ever used it?? If not why not?
2. I am extending the logo contest a week, cause I don't have time to get all the entries posted, so keep sending.

  7. You want me to share food with you and your family or you want to roast me on a spit?
