What a great weekend!!!! We used a whole can of spray on Canola Oil.

We had a crapload of snow at the end of this week. Somewhere around 18" 

My family did a great job of making the best of it.

We spent time in town with family and friends and sat around watching movies and basketball on T.v. We did some serious sledding and had a all around good time. 

I love to see my kids adapting to less than perfect situation and making the best of it. 

Sidenote: The snow was a little sticky when we sere sledding and the sleds weren't really going as fast as we wanted. My wife suggested we get some cooking spray and coat the sleds with "Pam" or some other type of kitchen "stuff". I am fulling admitting that I was fairly cinical and not at all convinced this was worth the effort. My wife went and got spray and coated the first sled and the kids got on and mother of pearl you would not believe how much faster and farther they went. 

So... Please cut loose with the Christmas Vacation jokes as I eat crow. And please keep in the back of your minds that if you ever need a sled to move faster across wet snow, canola oil is a safe bet.
