A little kick in the ass

I am sitting here watching "Extreme Makeover home Edition with my Wife and Daughter. There's a little boy who has Leukemia and it has just destroyed his family financially. I am all about Extreme Makeover Home Edition cause the really seem to seek out families that "deserve" the huge gifts they bestow on them.

But, that's not really the point of this post. The point I want to make is sometimes I need this show to kick me in the ass if I start feeling sorry for myself or wanting more. This family stuck together and this little boy who has more serious issues than I have ever faced just smiles and appreciates the hell out of all of this while taking the time to inspire the people around him.

Holy crap I need to get off my ass and do more for the people around me.

Want to make a difference? Go to www.ChildrensHeartFoundation.org and help support/raise money for research for children born with congenital heart defects. The more money we can raise, the more procedures/surgeries doctors can do to help save these children....

Way to go Renee, just get the word out, but more importantly, Cody, these things do make you count your blessings and realize how great things are in your life. Healthy children are one of the most precious blessings God could give anyone -helping others who aren't so blessed with that is a great gift...
