My 140conf experience Part 2 ...

If you missed part one.. it's here

This post is about the actual presentation/panel I sat on with Becky McCray.

Becky has become a friend of mine through twitter and meeting in person and organizing some things together. She's just a small town gal that's fun to be around that, oh by the way, has an incredible grasp of how business and the whole world functions and how they can do it better. She's also a professional speaker and is way better at it than me. So in the big scheme... I owe Becky a huge "thank you" for letting me sit on that stage with her.

The video is below, but I want to discuss a small part of it..

There's this moment where I get really awkward and have a terrible time making my point because.... well I don't really know why... ok just watch it and see if you think I made my point or clammered like an idiot????

Thanks again to everyone that let me be a part of this... I love things that when they are over, I know I will never forget them.

  1. I owe you, Cody, for asking me to speak with you. I was undecided about attending until then. Your request pushed me over into going. Thank you.

And as for the awkward moment, I think if you had been perfectly polished and rehearsed, you would have come off as insincere. As it was, awkwardness just showed that this was a genuine moment.

And thank you for all those very, very kind words. I think the world of you.
