I have written several posts in the past about issues faced by Gay people in the world today...if you want to read some of them click here and start scrolling. (My favorite is here . It's where my then 10 year old son decided that Gay people must be born Gay because no way would any man make a choice to not be attracted to Megan Fox.)
I have some really deep beliefs and feelings on the issue, maybe not so much on the issue...but more on how its being handled. You see I'm not a Gay rights activist, it's not an issue that's near and dear to me... but I am a Human rights activist... it's the reason I went and made less than minimum wage stomping around in cammies in the damn sand as a Marine. I believe if we aren't truly working towards being smarter more caring people... we might as well just jump off a cliff. Oh and by the way... Gay people are humans.
Now this is where ol' Cody gets a little sideways with damn near everybody... because I truly believe in the rights of every human being... even assholes... and I believe 100% that legislating morality or niceness is impossible and detrimental to the state of the world... I have some points that align with the anti-gay crowd...
My guest will be Jon Powell, Jon is a Board Member of the Hutchinson Kansas Chapter of the Kansas Equality Coalition.
Jon is not attracted to Megan Fox.
Its gonna be a good, good-hearted discussion... we might open some minds, we might piss some people off... who knows.
