"How the Internet is like a Small Town"
...Twitter is coffee shop of the world... the whole world can now know about the good or bad thing you did just like it's always happened at the small town coffee shop.

I saw his today... and the world would be a better place if lotsa folks read this...
Social Media has drastically amplified our voices... even the stupid statements... and in this dumbass election time... it is creating a lot of divides. I am all in favor of saying things are necessary, even if they aren't kind or inspiring... but if you want them to be helpful... make sure they are true.
There's a lot of drama queens making statements that seem to prove their point or just make their life more interesting or just make them feel all sophisticated and smart... but you look like an idiot when it proves to be false... and does harm or causes divides. If you are going to post it on the internet... and you have to lead with "I'm not sure if this is true or not, but people need to know this..." ... ummmmm... maybe you shouldn't post it.

Kinda funny there's a typo in the opening sentence in a post titled, "Thinking before you speak..."
ReplyDeleteJust sayin.
Yeah... that is funny... I have always sucked at presentation... but I try like hell to think whether or not its worth my time and other's time to take the time to type something and hit submit.
