  1. I am streaming my comments as they came up in your show...

I believe our problem is a 'Culture of Violence', not the actual weapon that people choose to have.

"Walk softly and carry a big stick", now we face having a bunch of outwardly violent people with sticks.

Gandhi had a big stick too, it was called PEACE.

How has our culture of violence made us a better/stronger/more positively impactful nation, for ourselves and the world? A better country? How has it advanced us?

I dismiss anyone who is so gung ho against abortion, yet is OK with war, which kills LIVE children and adults daily. Ridiculous.

And if your family were victims of gun violence, would you feel the same?

  2. Great stream of comments Jen... thanks for watching and taking the time..

I completely agree with the culture of violence... we have some serious issues there. I think the main one is a lack of understanding... a lack of grasping the severity of actions.

I do firmly believe there are people in the world who can only be dealt with by using a Big Stick. I'm not defending every use of violence... but it will never go away because there will always be forms of evil that cannot be dealt with in any other way.

Violence and fighting against evil has in fact made the world a better place... yes it has screwed many things up along the way... but again I believe at times it is not only neccessary, but the only answer unfortunately.

Not my direct family, but very close friends have been victims of gun violence and my only regret was I wasn't there armed to create a different outcome.
