"How the Internet is like a Small Town"
...Twitter is coffee shop of the world... the whole world can now know about the good or bad thing you did just like it's always happened at the small town coffee shop.
I have seen so much of this in my life. I know from personal experience how much a parents' influence has on someone. Things they may do to their child might not show up until many years later. I was personally an abused child and had hatred for many years inside myself until I came to "grips" with it. Now because I dealt with the "demons" inside I see a much better outlook on things. But it did take a long, long time. I don't believe parents really know what kind of impression they can leave on their children until it's too late.
ReplyDeleteI believe our kids are way over medicated today...so many times it is easier to medicate then to actually parent. I have an autistic child whom they want to medicate for behavior and I refuse for the simple fact that I can parent her without drugs...more patience and love is way better then the meds.
